Abstract

This report helps to shade more light on central and pertinent questions such as the following: 1) In what way have school attendance and learning achievement developed since 2000?; 2) What were the main drivers/determinants of these developments?; 3) Which interventions have had the largest and most cost-effective impact on educational outputs?; and 4) How has UPE contributed to returns to education and the overall household welfare?
