<description>Integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into the National Development Planning Framework and Systems in Uganda
National Planning Authority
Uganda has embraced ICT as a strategy for realization of her poverty reduction goals and attaining the broader development goals such as the MDGs. The poverty eradication Action plan 2004/2005 - 2007/08, the country's current development framework, recognizes access to information as a necessary condition for well-being of a population and human development.

<title>A Policy paper on the process of attaining middle income status</title>
<link>http://192.168.78.3:8081/xmlui/handle/123456789/832</link>
<description>A Policy paper on the process of attaining middle income status
National Planning Authority
Uganda aspires to become an upper middle income country by 2040 as spelt out in the Uganda Vision 2040. However, while articulated in NDPII, the direction that should move the country to middle income is not yet well understood by the implementers of government programmes, development partners, civil society organisations and the general public. In light of the mixed debate, it is prudent for NPA to provide technical guidance and direction to the debate. Specifically this paper provides a policy direction on the attainment of middle income status as elaborated in NDPII; what it means; how this is expected to be achieved and what changes and transformational approach will be required.
